Sebastian Issler, pianist from Davos (Canton of Grisons), is currently mainly active as a lied accompanist. He is finalist of the International Schubert Competition Dortmund 2018 and scholarship holder of LIEDBasel 2019. With tenor Maximilian Vogler he recently performed in Zurich, Roggenburg, Riom, the Abbey Library of St. Gall as well as at the International Lied Festival Zeist and the LIEDBasel festival.
A student of Eckart Heiligers, Sebastian Issler graduated with a Master’s Degree and distinction from Zurich University of the Arts in 2017 and has since continued his studies in Christoph Berner's class. Already during his studies he performed at the prestigious Tonhalle Zurich, and master courses with distinguished artists such as Joseph Breinl, Julius Drake, Brigitte Fassbaender, Werner Güra, Thomas Hampson, Robert Holl, Graham Johnson, Simon Lepper, Malcolm Martineau and Ann Murray complement his education.
